GUN CREW ON ROAD TO FRONT
(From Official History)

This picture is within the Official History of the 66th Field Artillery Brigade and the McGrath’s family collection has the same picture he made into a post card.

The exact location is not identified, however, because of its sequence in the book of the Official History, this picture is believed to have been taken while the unit was moving from the Aisne-Marne Offensive to the St. Mihiel Offensive, between 2 and 26 August 1918.

From this photograph it is assumed that Pfc McGrath served as a member of a gun crew rather than in a headquarters or supply position.
