The Kaiser still holds the distinction of being the great, lasting villain of the First World War. While his frequently intemperate language seems to support this view, just how vile was he personally and as a national leader? Here are a series of articles including writings of Wilhelm, himself, that give different insights into his character. Don't look for final answers, though.
